TLC is not your ordinary church. Because of this, you can expect our services to be quite a bit different than you may be used to. While many other churches have adopted a "seeker-sensitive" model for their services, we at TLC have been led by the Lord to adopt a "Spirit-sensitive" model.
It is impossible to make EVERYONE who comes to TLC comfortable with music styles, temperature, volume, sermon content, etc. So we chose to make one person comfortable - The Holy Spirit. We find that if we make the service about the Lord and what He wishes to do, nothing else seems to matter. So while we try to excel at everything we do in ministry here, we do it to the Glory of God, not for the acceptance of man.
- Front door: Expect to be greeted by a friendly member of TLC (actually by several friendly members of TLC) with a warm smile, and a handshake. If it is your first time, we'll have a gift waiting for you. You will then be guided to our sanctuary where we have a seat waiting for you. Expect several people to come to you while you are seated to welcome you to TLC! If you ever need anything during the services, get the attention of one of our ushers or staff members (they will be wearing a badge identifying them as team members of TLC). If you don't need to go in and out much, you are welcome to sit as close to the front as you can get. This is where you'll find the best seating.
- Children's Ministry: If you have children, one of our greeters or staff members will guide you to the children's ministry sign-in area where our trained, background-checked childrens ministry team members will give your children from ages 0-12 the time of their lives at Trinity Life KIDS. You'll be treated to a worry-free worship experience knowing your children are being well taken care of. If something arises, and our workers need your attention, a number will be displayed in the corner of the projection screens corresponding to the badge you received at sign-in.
- Pre-Service: Before service you may experience different things. Usually, there is exciting worship music playing over the speakers until the time service starts. Feel free to praise and worship the Lord during this time!
- Music: Expect a soulful, contemporary style of worship. Our praise is energetic, and our worship runs deep. Our sound is loud to encourage the energy levels, and to encourage an uninhibited all-out-for-God praise from the worshipper. The altar area in the front of the sanctuary is open for people to come and praise - dance, jump, shout, or simply stand in awe of the Presence of the Lord, it's a place for your sacrifice of praise!
- Offering: Prepare to be challenged in your giving. We believe that there is a blessing on what we give to God. Tithing (Meaning "tenth" - see Malachi chapter 3) is one way that a window is opened in Heaven for God's blessing to be on our finances. After the offering is prayed over, we bring our offerings to the baskets located on the altar (we don't "take" your offering here, we all "bring" our offerings). During the offering time, we crank up some music on CD, and we encourage everyone to fellowship for a few moments. Don't worry about finding someone to say hi to, you'll be greeted by several friendly members of TLC during this time.
- Sermon: Expect a life-changing Word from God through Pastor James McFadden. Every week he has something that challenges everyone to go higher in the Lord, and impact their communities for Christ. You'll laugh, cry, and may even get mad (hopefully at the devil for lying to you, not at Pastor for telling you the truth!) with Pastor's unique style of delivery.
- Prayer: You'll notice that every service, there is an invitation for someone who haven't yet experienced Jesus Christ as their Savior to accept Him. Many times we have prayer for people with needs and struggles (we all have them, don't we?). No matter where you are at in life, prepare your heart to have the Lord speak to you in some way throughout the service.
- After service: That's right, more love! If you have any questions following one of our services, just pull someone with a badge aside and they'll be glad to speak with you! After you leave, you'll probably be contacted by one of our members in some fashion.
- Special Needs: If you or one of your family members have special needs (handicap-access and other special accomodations), please let us know. If you'd like you can let us know prior to attending by calling 955-5729, or emailing life@needtlc.org. We'll take special care to accomodate such needs.
